I finally did the 21 Day Detox! After much procrastination (mainly because I thought I couldn't do without my daily 2-3 cups of coffee, meat and donuts for 21 days!), which after a few days on the plan, I didn't even miss! I knew I had to do something to break my food addiction, when I was making late night runs to the local donut shop for my glazed donuts! Thus, on August 30, 2010 I was resolved to begin my detox.
I'm so grateful and thankful for the The 21 Day Detox Plan shared by our amazing brother and sister, Masoud and Ruth Shamaeizadeh, which is a plan mainly using fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. During the detox I did not eat meat, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, or processed foods. The plan outlines how to prepare healthy and delicious meals using fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. That's it! You need no fancy equipment -- just a blender (it's amazing what you can do with a blender!)
The 21 Day Detox was an amazing journey for me physically, spiritually and emotionally! Among the rewards I gained from the 21 Dat Detox: I sleep better, deeper relationship with God, have mental clarity, my blood pressure went down by 15 points, I lost eight pounds (this is a by-product of this program -- a nice reward as well), I wake up refreshed, my joints feel better, etc. I feel like a whole new person -- it's truly been life changing! Truly the BEST GIFT I could give myself!
In order to be successful, I had to daily be resolved to follow the plan for myself, not for anyone else! You will be tempted; but remember to not to let anything or anyone deter you from your goal to cleanse your body for improved health and wellness -- your GIFT to YOURSELF. The benefits/rewards will be well worth it!
To be successful, first get your mind ready to do the detox, get the food items you need beforehand, and have fun with the 21 Day Detox journey! Pray daily and take one day at a time. You will be pleased with your new and improved health, mind and spirit! I am!

2. Be prepared. Bring your food/snacks with you when out for long periods or when eating out.
3. Life-saving snack. Through out the day I sipped on Yogi Peach Detox Tea, with lemon and Agave Nectar (refreshing and delicious hot or iced) To your life-changing journey! Love, Gwen Thornton
