21 Day Detox ClassBy popular demand, we decided to host an impromptu 21 Day Detox class for all the brothers and sisters who were more than ready to begin the program. We had a fantastic turnout with 25 people in attendance. We also welcomed back our friend Nelson Chipman and his wife Erica from Weyu Le who bring us their delicious raw, vegan ice cream and veggie spread.
It was also a joy to have several of the graduates of the 21 day detox come to support the newly started group. Stay tuned for the results on the improved health of the graduates from both groups. Not only did we get an educational tour of the store, we walked away with reusable shopping bags, samples of noni juice, recipes, literature and a glass of fresh carrot juice. Thank you WFM!

Second Tour of Whole Foods MarketWhole Foods Market Porter Ranch was very generous in inviting us back to the store for a tour with the new class.
They also very generously donated goodies bags filled with product samples, educational materials and lots of recipes. Congratulations Detox Program Graduates!!On Saturday, August 7, 2010, we celebrated the end of a 21-day detox. This is the first detox graduating class of the Lifestyle Program.
We were inspired by the stories of great health improvements, weight loss, higher energy levels, and less pain. We also had a raw, vegan feast complete with rice, tabouleh, zuchinni noodles, Asian cabbage salad, fresh fruit salads, apple pie and cheesecake. A detox is a great victory for anyone who gives it a fair trial. It involves the elimination of many of the foods that are toxic to the body, but we are highly addicted to. The brothers and sisters who completed the 21-days are truly exceptional. The Lifestyle program is a 3-month journey into lifestyle changes in daily eating habits, conscious decision making and focusing on the importance of live, vegan food as a healing tool. Some of the immediate benefits of a detox are: increased energy, clearer skin, weight loss, balanced blood sugar levels, decreased pain, deeper sleep, improved digestion, less cravings for sweets and salty foods.
