The 21-Day Detox
John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" This scripture tells the story of Jesus and the paralytic man at the pool of Bethesda. Today we'd like to pose the same question to you. Do you want to be well?
If you are looking to get healthy, get more energy, lose weight, or begin healing from a chronic disease you might consider doing a 21-day detox.
The program consists of a 21-day commitment to making gradual changes in: eating habits, body movement, removal of toxins (detox) from the body and personal environment as well as learning about nutrition for living healthy. Complete the form at the bottom of this page if you are ready to join the program and achieve your health goal.
How the Program Works
During the 21 days, participants gradually move away from the Standard American Diet and move towards using a plant-based diet to heal. We kick off the 21 day detox with a live information night or teleseminar. It is highly recommended that every participant attend a live or online event before attempting the detox. If a participant cannot attend for reasons out of their control, but are determined to participate in the 21-day detox, we will do our best to provide all the necessary coaching to get them started with the rest of the group. Compete the form at the bottom of the page if you are ready to begin.
At the end of the 21 days, we will celebrate with a graduation and raw vegan potluck.
FAQ
Why don't we call this a diet and exercise program?
In short, because it is not that at all. Diets generally call for calorie counting, carb counting, food portion control and some form of deprivation that eventually leads to malnutrition. The 21-Day Detox Program teaches how to truly satisfy the body's needs for nutrients while releasing toxicity from the body.
Generally speaking, today's picture of exercise is getting to the gym two to three times a week, getting on a treadmill or another piece of machinery and then lifting some weights. There is nothing wrong with this, except that there is a minimal percentage of us who can actually keep up a routine like this, although we all aspire to. Kudos to those who actually do this from week to week! The concept of putting our bodies in motion is much more than that; it is assessing your body's current abilities, finding a type of movement that suits your body and gradually moving towards more advanced or challenging movement. We encourage participants to explore movement through Tai Chi, Qi gong, stretching, conscious breathing and meditation during the 21 days.
Do I have to stop drinking coffee, tea, soda?
During the 21 days of the detox it is vital that participants stay away from caffeinated drinks and food. The great news is that there are some very tasty alternatives to these less-than-healthy drinks.
What happens after 21 days?
Participants may choose to keep the lifestyle changes that they have made over the 21 days or they may choose to go back to old patterns. However, the goal of the program is to teach that lifestyle changes are possible and for people to experience the possibilities in healing as they make small changes gradually.
What can I expect to feel/experience during the detox?
During the 21 days, the body will be releasing toxins, so it is common for people to feel very mild flu-like symptoms, headaches (especially if weaning from caffeine) and although rare, some body pains. All of these may last only a day or two and participants will be taught what to do in case these discomforts arise.
How much money will this cost me?
There is no fee for participating in this program. The only money you will spend is on food, and it does not have to stretch you beyond your current budget.
